Mark Conley
President, Director of Research

Mark Conley became President of OTR Global in 2018 and continues in his role as the Director of Research which he has held since joining OTR in 2013.  Mark oversees the firm’s syndicated and custom research platforms, which span the Americas, Asia and Europe.  Mark brings a unique skill set to his role as President of the firm, having served as both a research director and institutional sales person and manager in his nearly 30 years in the industry. Mark began his Wall Street career at Merrill Lynch in institutional sales where he covered a variety of money managers, mutual funds, and hedge funds in the NY area.  During his tenure at Merrill, Mark also headed the research sales team in NY and founded Merrill's global technology specialist sales force. Mark went on to sales and director of research roles at American Technology Research and its acquirer Gleacher and Company, as well as MKM Partners.  Mark holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Yale University, where he majored in applied mathematics.

John O’Donoghue
Senior Vice President, Director of Equities

John O’Donoghue joined OTR in 2013 as Director of Equities. John leads the team of institutional sales representatives located in New York, Westchester, San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago. Prior to OTR, John was the Head of Equities at Cowen & Company for seven years, where he sat on the firm's Executive and Operating Committees.  Before joining Cowen, John was Co-Head of Equity Trading at Credit Suisse, where he also served on that firm's Global Equity Operating Committee.  Prior to those positions, John spent 17 years at Wertheim Schroder where he was a partner.  He currently serves on the board of NOIP (National Organization of Investment Professionals) and is active in many philanthropic activities in the Irish American community. John holds an Honors Degree in Economics from The Queen's University of Belfast, where he is also a member of The Foundation Board. 


Del Johnson

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining OTR in 2015, Del was CFO of the S&P CIQ and S&P Indices segment of McGraw-Hill Financial which is a global provider of research, data, analytics and indices to the financial services industry. Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Del spent eight years in public accounting with Deloitte and Touche.
Del holds a BS in Accounting and a concentration in Management Information Systems from Bucknell University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Thomas Hickey
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Tom Hickey serves in the combined role of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer with many years of operational and legal experience. Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer for RMJM Group an international architectural company with firms in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the U.S. Tom was the Co-Founder and CEO of a Stamford Connecticut based Investment manager specializing in foreign exchange. Prior to that, he was a trial lawyer for 19 years and Managing Partner for several firms. Tom served as a Board member and past President of  the City of Stamford Board of Education. Tom holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Catholic University Columbus School of Law, Washington D.C and a B. A. in Political Science from Fordham University.

Olya Klimiashvili
Director of Research Operations

Olya oversees research operations for OTR Global. Prior to her current role, Olya managed OTR Global's consumer products, retail and restaurants platforms. Olya joined OTR in 2001 and worked across several industry teams as a researcher, reporter and editor. Before joining OTR, Olya worked for Coca-Cola Export Corp. in Moscow. She holds an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor's in business from Touro University, Moscow.

 

 

Allison Malone
Director of Custom Research Services

Allison has been with OTR Global since 1996. She managed OTR’s retail consumer group for 10 years and is currently the firm’s Director of Custom Research Services. Allison developed OTR’s internal marketing training program and she provides continuing education as part of the firm’s ongoing best practices efforts. Her current duties include managing the company’s thriving global custom research platform. Previously she worked in retail buying and management and was a sales representative for a gourmet confections distributor. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Allison now resides in New Mexico. 

Irene Neumansky
Director of Technology

Irene Neumansky began her tenure with OTR in 1996. After building OTR's first website in 1999, she expanded the firm's global digital reach to include multiple sites and databases, including the design and development of OTR's robust proprietary intranet/portal. She holds a B.A. from San Francisco State University and is an active participant in local charities.

 

  

Katie Sanborn
Director of Editorial Services

Katie joined the firm in 1996 as senior editor for small cap. At OTR, she is responsible for directing the evaluation and production of the firm's research, executing compliance functions for the published research and setting editorial policy. Prior to OTR, Katie was a senior reporter at RCM Capital Management, where she covered financial services, technology and small cap. In her career as a journalist, she also covered financial services as an editor for the San Francisco Business Times, was a correspondent for Money Magazine and ghost-authored a book on family finance. She holds a Series 24 General Securities Principal license, a Master of Science in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Mills College. Katie is a trustee of her alma mater, Mills College in Oakland, CA and is also on the board of directors of the Istituto Italiano Scuola in San Francisco.

Jon Gates
Executive Director

Jon Gates has been with OTR since its inception in 1995 and is one of the founding partners. He was OTR’s Director Of Global Research from 2002 to 2013, until choosing to get back into field research, covering Energy & Materials. Prior to his DOR role, Jon developed OTR's industrial research team and initiated the firm’s international expansion, covering capital equipment, manufacturing, logistics and crop genetics, among other industries. He later directed the OTR enterprise technology group during the Internet boom. Prior to that, Jon was a senior reporter at RCM Capital Management covering industrials and agriculture for 10 years. He holds a Series-65 Investment Advisor License and is a published author of four nonfiction works based on California historical research and Russian studies.
